The ability to provide high fidelity sound with portability has been an issue with music reproduction from its inception. From tubes to wax to vinyl to plastic, the elusive essence of sound has never been able to be available to the masses. Even now, as the dawn of DVD audio is upon us, more and more people listen to music that is significantly less than perfect. Why? Not because they want to; it’s because they have to. Prior to the advent of the Sound Genome Theory and its implementation within SoundXciter, there was no way to provide rich sound without the data requirements also being rich. Now, with SoundXciter, people have a choice and the future sounds wonderful.
