From the days of Edison’s original invention, musicians, mathematicians, and engineers have been on an unending quest to capture and distribute the very essence of sound. Since the original sound tubes, each generation has heralded a new level of fidelity by the use of better microphones and recording media.  And with each new recording level, better and better methods to distribute that quality have also been invented. From tubes to wax to vinyl to plastic, each distribution device has strived to improve sound fidelity. With each new distribution device, companies have strived to produce players with the ability to accurately play back what was recorded.

Today, the need to produce, distribute, and play high quality music still exists. At home, consumers can listen to music in their own personal concert halls. While in their cars, music can be heard in 5.1 surround sound. And using their personal CD players, consumers can be anywhere and hear their favorite music. So if perfection is already here, why do we need more?

Audio perfection, as with everything else, comes with a cost: large data requirements. To reproduce the highest level of audio quality, you have to store massive amounts of audio data. Storing this data costs the consumer something else they want: portability. By definition, quality and portability oppose each other in audio. Simply stated, the fidelity/portability rule states that more of one gives you less of the other. Until now, there has been no product capable of breaking that rule.

SoundXciter shatters that rule. By producing high fidelity audio using a small percentage of the original data file, SoundXciter and its proprietary algorithm allows users the ability to hear what they want with the portability they desire.
